Nothing on this site is medical advice, a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation or a recommendation of any hospital or clinician. Star ratings, survey results and outcome measures are CMS's hospital-wide statistics; Medicare volumes describe billing, not skill. Decisions about your care belong with you and a clinician who knows your situation. In an emergency, call 911.

Not a credentialing or licensing service

The exclusion check matches the HHS-OIG list by NPI only and cannot find entries that carry no NPI; a licence number shown here is what a provider entered in the registry, not a confirmation that it is active. For any employment, credentialing, contracting or payment decision, use the primary sources - the OIG exclusion database, the state licensing board and NPPES - directly.

Accuracy and currency

Every figure is reproduced from public federal files as published, on the refresh schedule set out on the sources page. Those files lag reality - a provider's registry entry can be years old, Medicare data is published about two years after the year it describes, and a hospital's measures cover a fixed reporting period. We make no warranty that any figure is complete, current or error-free, and we correct our own mistakes when they are reported.

Use of the content

The underlying data is US federal government work in the public domain. The arrangement, explanatory text and design of this site are ours; you may quote and link to pages freely with attribution, but may not republish the site wholesale or present it as your own. Automated access is welcome at a reasonable rate; abusive traffic will be blocked.

Liability

The site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator accepts no liability for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the site or its contents.
